Bon Jovi's "Have a Nice Day" at Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, July 27, 2006

Last Man Standing / You Give Love A Bad Name / Bounce / Born To Be My Baby / The Story of My Life / Captain Crash & the Beauty Queen From Mars / I'll Sleep When I'm Dead / Runaway / The Radio Saved My Life Tonight / In These Arms / Just Older / Wildflower / I'll Be There For You (Electric, Richie on vocals) / Have A Nice Day / Who Says You Can't Go Home / Bad Medicine (Shout) / Raise Your Hands / Livin' On A Prayer

Terrific show by Jon and the band here in Foxboro. Sue and I arrived around 7:30pm where a well-received Nickelback was screaming for the “beer guy” and played some favorites. JON BON JOVI hit the stage a little after eight and played a solid two and a half hour show. Loved it.

Some of the highlights:

  • We were CLOSE (Section A2) thanks to a couple who offered to swap our B2 tickets for theirs, to sit with their friends. That was very cool.
  • Jon saying that many of his rocker friends have already retired at his age, but if, “I was as smart as Belichick, as pretty as Brady, and as tough as Bruschi, I’d be playing here.” That and several other nods to our Superbowl Patriot champs was very well received, especially because much of the team was in attendance.
  • I loved Jon’s Patriots shirt, number 06, that had the name BON JOVI on the back. Very cool.
  • Jon saying, “I refuse to be treated as just another boy toy," as he playfully reveled in the attention.
  • I love that he has a Superman tattoo on his arm, being a big Kal-El fan myself.
  • Bon Jovi is much like Springsteen - -New Jersey, hardcore fan base, charismatic, very hard working, solid catalog of songs.
  • I like how often he comes over to see the people in the stands – taking lots of time to shake hands or give a high five.
  • LOVED the lighting effects behind him that could be a city skyline, bright neon lights, flames, the matrix, and more. Very cool. Very high tech.
  • LOVED “Runaway” and “bad Medicine.”
  • Very amused by how Sue kept saying what great shape he was in, how cute he was, etc.
  • I joked to Sue that some of the audience members are probably so young that went Jon sang, “Wanted Dead or Alive” some kids might say, “Oh, he’s singing the Chris Chris Daughtry song!” (Chris Daughtry DOES do Bon Jovi justice on his 2006 update).
  • Jon mentioned the rain the last time he played Gillette – I was there, it was torrential at times and I later learned part of the building flooded.
  • At $6.50, the sausage subs were good, but a Mike’s Hard Lemonade for $9 is a bit much.
Bon Jovi knows how to throw a great Rock and Roll party, and most of the 50,000 of us were out of our seats dancing to the entire show. Great night!

When GillisPhotos.com was launched in early 2005, everything was created with a mix of Perl scripts to generate pieces of HTML code. Not rocket science, but adding galleries, new pages and photos was tedious and time consuming. Ktools Photostore proved to be a Godsend. With Ktools Photostore, customization is easy, updates and changes are a breeze, and adding photos and galleries is simple. In addition, Ktools Photostore has dozens of features designed specifically for photo sellers. Ktools Photostore allows us to concentrate on photography rather than coding and scripting.
